I'm so sorry that it's been a tough fortnight Sneh. Please know that you and the content that you so generously share are appreciated more than you could possibly imagine. You spread so much sunshine, and I'm sure that there are many of us now making a silent pact to reflect some of it back at you :o) Sam xx

Hi Sneh, So sorry I never comment on anything, wow your blog is so wonderful,

and your recipes are so great and reliable, I was living and working in Dymocks in Hobart when

your cookbook came out, loved and recommended to so many, been back home on the central coast NSW for about 6 years now, work in a little indie bookshop part time, love to bushwalking and nature so love all your bird photography as well, I also have two sons, a lot older than yours.

I am cooking your five spice tofu and rice noddles this week, so great!

I am going to comment more often to the blogs I love, so sorry for just reading and not giving back.

Thanks Kay

Oh Kay! Wow, the book was a long time ago and it warms my heart that you still remember. The Indie bookshop, the bushwalks ... it sounds lovely. And you are a fellow boy-mum too! Thank you for your beautiful comment. Hope you are having a lovely day! x

Hi Sneh, I'm so sorry you felt alone and that no one was interesting with your posts or newsletter. I wanted to thank you for all your effort, hard work and beautiful photos and recipes. My little family enjoy them very much and it provides alot of inspiration for me to continue making nice things that nourish me and my family, instead of giving up and piping nuggets in the oven (even though some nights those are needed ;) ) I also noticed that in Gmail app where I get your email, there is no like or comment section. Instead you have to click into view entire message. When I do that I can write here but the newsletter formatting is all funny. Wondering if that might be why people aren't able to interact so readily? Anyway, thanks again. Much appreciated. X

Hello Chiara! Thank you for your lovely message. Yes, definitely need those nights of no cooking where you can chuck things in the oven (in our home, the go-to is frozen store-bought dumplings by Mr. Chen's that we just cook in the steamer along with miso soup or quick noodles). Thank you for the feedback on the Gmail app, that is very helpful. I'll look into that and try and fix it. Cheers! x

Hi Sneh,

I felt heartbroken reading your newsletter this morning. I save each of your newsletters until I have the perfect moment to dive into them uninterrupted as I get so much out of them and literally open every single link!

As a cook and content creator myself, I know the feeling of putting all your hard work out into the world and feeling like maybe it's just disappearing into the abyss that is the digital world!

Rest assured- that is NOT happening with your newsletters and recipes.

They touch the hearts, minds (and tastebuds) of so many grateful souls every week- including myself (and my Mum, who I made sure signed up to your weekly newsletters too!)

I've made dozens of your recipes and each one is equally delicious and dependable.

I love and appreciate your weekly news, stunning photography and raw honesty. I am sorry I've never taken the time to reach out before now and thank you for all you create and share.

My only other thought is that with lockdowns easing and 'real life' returning, maybe people are collectively a little more focused on in-person connections right now and taking a break from the digital communities. Yet, there is of course a place for both to co-exisit.

Thank you so much for creating this hub and just so you know, its been an open tab on my computer since last week when I opened it up! Sometimes it just takes us a while to get there perhaps ;)

Lots of love to you and your family.

Kelly. xx

Thanks so much Sneh! Another cracker edition! I'm definitely doing the Chicken Wings and Marmalade Recipe - I can see that being devoured in seconds in this house....will report back.

Thanks too for your ongoing generosity to all of us as you share so many beautiful photos and moments from your life. You put such a lot of time, effort and passion into your weekly news - it's a BIG deal.

Hoping you have a great week!

Happy Divali to you and your family! I loved the enchantment you see in the simple things in life. Do you blend traditions with the modern during these times? I yearn for those times my mum would go all out preparing Chinese New Year feasts. Ours is more a hackneyed affair but I hope we do honour the occasion in some small way…

Hi Sneh, I have been following you for some time now. I just want to say that I absolutely love your photos! They are so moody and beautiful, whether it’s food nature or a still life sort of display. I just enjoy looking at them. I have to admit I have not tried your recipes but they do inspire me to try different ingredients or combinations. I am on a WFPB-NO lifestyle and should be able to adjust most of your recipes. Although I find being by myself I keep meals a bit simple as in amount of ingredients.

Please keep posting your amazing work!

Hi Sneh, I cooked my first meal for my family when I was 8. I remember vividly: toad in the hole. I was trembling with the weight of the pan for 7 as I put it in a scorching oven with my mother standing at the kitchen door while I did it. Never looked back! My cooking marries healthy and delicious and it has to get squeezed into a heavy schedule. I have to say however that your blog has really been a refreshing, imaginative and inspired addition to my recipe "rainbow" - you stand out from all the other hundreds of blogs and websites -your work is exceptional. In closing, have to say though that it wasn't easily clear to me that you wanted feedback or where to go to give it. Now I know.... Keep up what to me is a fantastic gift!

Hello Sneh, I too am sad to read your latest post. Sad because while I have enjoyed your well written, warm, interesting posts, full of wonderful recipes, links, snippets ,that take us into your home and life, I haven't made the time and effort to acknowledge it. Please do continue with the good ( though hard) work, knowing that there are so many of us who appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi there Sneh - I too was sad to read you felt the love wasn't there for all of the hard work you put into the site, recipes, blog, pictures, content, insta - the list goes on. I only recently subscribed but yes am guilty for taking more than giving.(this is my first comment) I agree with Kelly - our main relationship outside our family has been with the digital world over the last 4 months and perhaps we have all parked that to the side at the moment. I am glad you have shared your feelings as again this reminds us all that there is always a story behind the scenes of why somebody its feeling the way they feel. I use your cookbook Tasty Express often and after watching Michael Mosely this week on TV on his series about how our country's diet has really fallen by the way side we are trialling a vegetarian and low/no carb week and regular weekends. SO I know your vegetarian recipes are gong to be lifesaving. Thank you for everything you offer this foodie community.....much love Jen x

I’ve just had time to read your latest newsletter, and it was just what I needed - so many good things. This is my first time commenting, but I love your writing and ideas. Thankyou - have a great week ahead!

Hi Sneh,

So sorry to hear how you’ve been feeling but I think it’s great that you’ve shared it with us so we can tell you how much we appreciate your beautiful words, pictures & recipes!

I think maybe we’re all in a weird limbo now we’ve been released from lockdown. Some of us are feeling quite uneasy about going out into the world & maybe we’re just caught up in that. Please don’t take the lack of interaction to be anything personal. We certainly do appreciate all you hard work. Your newsletter is a lovely little present in my inbox each week.

Also, it’s ok not to be ok, so don’t feel you always have only share positivity. You’re human after all! xxx
