Happy Friday Friends!
Today Nick and I celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It's my day off and the weekend has begun early for us. I hope you enjoy today's All Good Links as much I did putting them together. Big Love!

From The Deck ...
It is my favourite time of the year. Autumn. When it rains and everything is dew-kissed. When the mist starts settling in the valley and I can see its breath rising up from where I stand on my deck.
A lot of you might not know this about me, but when I was in my teens, I practised yoga for the better part of a decade. Everyday. And it has stayed with me. Something I like to pick up every now and again when I have the gift of time. I especially love doing Surya Namaskar (sun salutations). Ironically on autumn mornings when the sun is usually hidden behind clouds.
I started The Sunday Project a few years ago where I took some time (lots of time!) every Sunday to learn a new cooking technique or evolved recipe that I wouldn't normally tackle in my day to day. This weekend, I am going to bring my Sourdough starter out from hibernation (It is One Year Old!) and bake some bread. Check out my super detailed post about starting a Sourdough Starter At Home with all the troubleshooting tips and tricks to help you every step of the way. Make it your Sunday Project!

My friend Hetty Mckinnon creates magic with food and words. As well as having several best-selling vegetarian cookbooks, Hetty is also the editor and publisher of Peddler - a journal that explores the multi-cultures of food. I am an avid collector and reader of this soulful magazine. The latest issue No 6 "Immigrant" features stories of migrants. It features my family's story about coming to Full Circle, along with a very special recipe and I am thrilled to have my piece published in it. This journal is a must-read!
An interesting article about Grandma Cookbooks and why we need them especially during the colder seasons through the pandemic.

She has such a lovely, calming way about her and shares really useful everyday advice on living and eating better. Go check her out! Her Insta is pretty fab too.

When Kara Rosenlund, Australian Photographer and Designer extraordinaire shares a playlist called Mix Tape - Slow Sounds, you listen. Because it makes you think of wind ruffling your hair as you cruise down the stark Australian countryside, a gentle sun gleaming off the bonnet of your car. And just like that, you are transported into the weekend!
And with that, I sign off and wish you a good one! Until Next Week :)
SPICY AVOCADO MARGARITA
Probably my most loved cocktail. Who can resist avo, lime and a hit of chilli?
Makes 1
45ml tequila
45ml triple sec
45ml fresh lime juice
Flesh of half small avocado
2-3 slices of jalapeno
½ cup ice cubes + extra to serve
Crushed sea salt flakes, to rim
Lime wedges and jalapeno slice, to garnish
___
Place half a cup of ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Pour over tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Mash the avocado flesh and add to the shaker. Add the jalapeno slices. Pop the lid on and shake vigorously for a few seconds until thoroughly combined.
Scatter sea salt flakes in a wide shallow bowl. Run a lime wedge along the rim of a 255ml tumbler. Roll the rim in salt. Carefully, fill half the glass with crushed ice cubes.
Strain the cocktail into the glass over the ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and jalapeno slice.
